Terms & Conditions

“Social” is a platform provided by PT Dompet Anak Bangsa & PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) to connect with Your friends and family. GoPay & Gojek knows that you care about how Your personal information is used and shared, and We take Your privacy seriously. Therefore, We need you to read and agree to the measures that we are applying to maintain your trust which we set out in these terms below for the convenient use of the “Social” feature.

1. “Social” is a feature that enables You to invite other users of GoPay and/or Gojek (as the case may be) into a group chat and each of the group chat user’s roles will be divided into “Owner”, “Admin” and “Member”.
2. Each role has below capability:
3. 1. 1. Owner: Create group, join group, update group, delete group (but only when the Owner is the last member), leave group, send chat, invite member, revoke invitation, promote admin, demote admin, remove admin, remove member, view group(s), view group activities, and view chat
      2. Admin: Create group, join group, update group, leave group, send chat, invite member, revoke invitation, remove member, view group(s), view group activities, and view chat
      3. Member: Create group, join group, leave group, send chat, invite member, revoke invitation (but only for their invitations), view group(s), view group activities, and view chat
3. The capability of each role might be adjusted from time to time as We notify You.
4. You can use the “Social” feature as the complimentary feature on top of features offered in the GoPay app and/or Gojek app, after You have provided consent to this terms and conditions.
5. The “Social” feature can be accessed via GoPay app and/or Gojek app. Please be aware that any groups and chats You create on one app will also be accessible through the other app. Accordingly, We will share data relating to Your groups and chats between the two apps to enable this functionality.
6. When you join or participate in a group chat, certain information about you will be disclosed to enable the “Social” features to function seamlessly. Other members can see your username, profile picture, and your group interaction history, including other members who may join at a later time. Therefore You understand and agree that:

You should exercise Your utmost care and discretion when sharing any information in the group chat, including any confidential, personal, or sensitive information, whether belonging to You or any other party, as such information may be accessible to members who join the group chat at a later time;
      2. Before adding any new member to a group chat, You are responsible for obtaining prior consent from such member and considering whether it is appropriate for such new member, including people under age of 18, to have access to the existing conversation history, including taking into account the interests of other members of the group chat; and
      3. You are responsible for using and handling any conversation history accessible to You in a responsible and appropriate manner. You must not copy, distribute, or use such conversation history outside of the group chat without the consent of the relevant party.
7. Your personal GoPay and Gojek activity, transaction history, and account details outside of the “Social” feature remain completely private and will never be shared with other group members.
8. Responsible Use of the “Social” Feature
9. 1. 1. Let’s make “Social” a safe environment for all users. If You choose to show Your payments information and/or make any chats, posts, notes, or comments in the group chat, You are fully responsible for such remarks.
      2. You are prohibited from creating, sending, uploading, sharing, or distributing any statements, content, materials, links, images, videos or files in any form that:
      3. 1. violate any applicable laws and/or regulations, including but not limited to content relating to gambling in any form (including online gambling), pornography or content that violates decency, fraud, narcotics and prohibited substances, violence, terrorism, or the trade of prohibited goods or services;
         2. contain hate speech, insults, defamation, threats, extortion, or content that offends or discriminates against any ethnicity, religion, race, or social group;
         3. infringe any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any party;
         4. contain the personal or sensitive data of another party without the prior consent of such party or or another applicable legal basis; or
         5. are inappropriate, misleading, or detrimental to other users.
      3. You are also prohibited from using the group chat to send promotional messages, commercial offers, or unsolicited bulk messages (spam), or from repeatedly sending messages that disturb, harass, or intimidate other users.
      4. If You receive any unwanted, disturbing, or prohibited messages or content, You may leave the group chat through the available settings or controls.
      5. We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to remove content, restrict access, suspend or terminate accounts, and take any other necessary action as a safety measure for other users, including reporting to and/or responding to requests from relevant authorities where required under applicable laws and/or regulations.
9. If You access “Social” feature via Gojek app, You are required to read and agree to each relevant terms and conditions of Gojek app, including any specific terms and conditions that apply for each service feature available in Gojek app.
10. If You have any inquiries related to this “Social” feature, You can contact Us through the provided help channels available via the GoPay or Gojek App. We will follow up on each inquiry in accordance with Our applicable policies.
11. PLEASE BE AWARE OF SCAM AND FRAUD. DO NOT SHARE YOUR ACCOUNT PASSWORD AND/OR VERIFICATION CODE (INCLUDING OTP) TO ANYONE. WE OR OUR STAFF WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR SECRET PASSWORD AND/OR VERIFICATION CODE VIA ANY MANNER.

The implementation of “Social” feature is subject to (i) GoPay Terms of Use; (ii) GoPay Privacy Notice, (iii) GoPay App Term of Use, (iv) the general terms and conditions for the use of Gojek application; (v) the specific terms and conditions that apply for each service feature available in Gojek application; (vi) Gojek Privacy Notice; and (vi) any prevailing laws and regulations. We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time.
