Be Responsible During Your Trip with GoRide & GoCar: Ways To Prevent Coronavirus (COVID-19) Transmission
Gojek / 13 Jan 2021

Hi Gojekers,

Your health and safety are Gojek's top priorities. We respect and comply with the Government's decision to impose the Enforcement of Restrictions on Public Activities (PPKM) as one of the government's efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Gojek is ready at the forefront to support the daily needs of the community during the PPKM period. This is possible through the readiness of the Gojek ecosystem that is equipped with the J3K (Stay Healthy, Hygienic and Protected) protocol to ensure your trip is safer and more pleasant.

For those of you who live in:

Jakarta

  • Starting from 11 January - 8 February, according to Kadishub Decree No 19 of 2021, Gojek transportation services, such as GoCar, GoCar L, GoRide and GoBluebird, will operate with the following protocol:
  • GoCar, GoCar L, and GoBluebird services allow a maximum of 2 passengers and 1 driver
  • GoRide service will be available in the green and yellow zone. Gojek has also implemented geofencing that can ensure GoRide service cannot operate in designated areas as Strict Control Areas (red zones).
  • Driver-partners are required to maintain a distance of 1 meter from other driver-partners.
  • Drivers and passengers are required to wear masks and adhere to health protocol

Gojek transportation services continue to prioritize the J3K protocol with no extra cost, such as:

  • Checking the temperature of the driver-partners and disinfection of vehicles routinely at the J3K Safety Points which locations are spread around DKI Jakarta and other cities. You can also see this status in the application when placing an order.
  • J3K Safety Zones are also operated in four Integrated Stations in DKI Jakarta with four types of services, namely measuring body temperature for customers and driver-partners, managing queues with physical distancing, providing hand sanitizers and hairnets, and distribution of masks.
  • Protective Shield is also being implemented gradually to tens of thousands of GoCar services in 16 key cities. The same facility is also being gradually implemented on GoRide services.
  • Mask Verification feature in the driver-partner app is a mandatory requirement that needs to be fulfilled every time a driver wants to operate.
  • J3K Protocol Checklist feature is added in the driver-partner and customer apps. Driver-partners and customers are required to press a button stating that they are committed to following the health protocol. Driver-partners or customers have the right to cancel orders if there is one party who does not comply with the health protocol.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your face during the trip.

Beside us, there are also other parties who hold the perspective that all levels of society are entitled to maximum protection in terms of health, hygiene and safety in a pandemic situation. Not only that, they also actively participate to maintain your health and safety as well as the driver partners.

Gojek has also established procedures that prioritize health and hygiene in GoRide and GoCar services. We require driver partners to use masks, gloves and hand sanitizers as part of the trip preparation in compliance with government regulations. If either passengers or driver partners are not wearing masks, the other party has the right to cancel the order and is welcome to report the incident through the Gojek app.

By implementing the J3K protocol together, #ThereIsAlwaysAWay to make life safer and more enjoyable.
