Be Responsible During Your Trip with GoRide & GoCar: Ways To Prevent Coronavirus (COVID-19) Transmission
Gojek · 19 Oct 2020

Hi Gojekers,

Health and safety are Gojek’s main priorities. In line with the Ministry of Health’s recommendations, Gojek has put in place numbers of initiatives to continue delivering maximum protection for everyone in our ecosystem. Therefore, we are implementing the J3K protocol (Stay Healthy, Hygienic and Protected) as a step forward to make your trip safer and more pleasant.

For those of you who live in:

  1. Jakarta
    • Starting from October 12th, according to Kadishub Decree No 177 of 2020, Gojek transportation services, such as GoCar, GoCar L, GoRide and GoBluebird, will operate with the following protocol:
      1. GoCar and GoBluebird services allow a maximum of 1 driver and 3 passengers
      2. GoCar L service allows a maximum of 1 driver and 4 passengers. 2 passengers are required to be seated in each row.
      3. GoRide is active in the green and yellow zones. Gojek has also implemented geofencing arrangements that can ensure GoRide services cannot operate in areas designated as Strict Control Areas (red zones).
    • Drivers are required to maintain a 1 meter distance from other drivers
    • Drivers and passengers are required to wear masks and adhere to health protocols
  2. Surabaya
    • Starting June 15, for Surabaya, GoRide has returned to activity in the green and blue zones. For the red zone, GoRide is still not operational. Find out more here.

Gojek transportation services continue to prioritize the J3K protocol at no additional cost, such as:

  • Checking the temperature of the driver-partners and disinfection of vehicles routinely at the J3K Safe Zones which locations are spread in the DKI Jakarta and other cities. You can also see this status in the application when placing an order.
  • The operation of dozens of J3K Safe Zones including in four Integrated Stations of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government with four types of services, namely measuring body temperature for customers and driver-partners, managing queues with the principle of physical distancing, providing hand sanitizers and hairnets, and distribution of masks.
  • Provision of protective bulkheads that have been implemented gradually to tens of thousands of GoCar four-wheeled fleets in 16 main operational cities. The same facility is also being tested on the GoRide two-wheeler fleet.

To ensure mutual security and safety is maintained, we also require loyal Gojek users to comply with health protocols and agree to our safety pledge before ordering GoRide or GoCar services.
