Shift booking: drive in your preferred timings and areas

Book shifts to drive at your preferred timings and areas and take home more earnings with shift incentives!

Did you know? Shifts can help to improve reliability and wait times for customers by ensuring there is a steady supply of drivers to meet the demand in a particular area, which ultimately leads to more bookings for you!

How it works:

  1. View the available shifts via the Quick View screen or the Earnings screen in the Gojek Driver app. All service types are available for shifts!

  2. Register for your desired shift. (Slots for each shift are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis)

  3. Head to the shift zone before the shift begins and stay online to receive orders. Note: Driver-partners who have successfully registered for a shift will only receive bookings with pick-ups and drop-offs within the specified shift region.

Central

Locations: Bukit Timah, Novena, Toa Payoh, Kallang, Geylang, Marine Parade, Marina East, Marina South, Downtown Core, Singapore River, Outram, Straits View, Bukit Merah, River Valley, Tanglin, Orchard, Newton, Museum, Rochor, Queenstown.

North East

Locations: Bedok, Pasir Ris, Paya Lebar, Tampines, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Punggol, Seletar, Sengkang, Serangoon, Bishan.

West

WEST.png

Locations: Boon Lay, Jurong East, Jurong West, Tengah, Clementi, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Bukit Timah, Choa Chu Kang, Queenstown.

Shift requirements

  • Driver-partners must complete at least 1 trip and be online for at least 50% of the shift duration. Drivers who sign up for shifts without the intention of driving, or drivers who do not meet the 50% online requirement will be penalized.
  • Penalty: Drivers will be suspended from booking shifts for 7 days if, within a 7-day period, they:
    • miss 5 shifts
    • do not meet the 50% online requirement for 5 shifts
    • do not complete at least 1 trip for 5 shifts

To note:

  • 80% acceptance rate 90% completion rate is required for shift incentives.
  • Shift bookings slots are limited and on a first-come-first-serve basis only.
  • If you have successfully registered for a shift, you need to stay in the shift zone during the shift duration to receive bookings. Please refrain from leaving the shift zone as you will not receive any orders outside of the shift zone during the shift duration.
  • You can opt-out up to 1 hour before the shift starts. Once it has commenced, you will not be able to opt-out. Please ensure that you only register for shifts that you can commit to.
  • You are not eligible for PM Peak Hour Incentives while on shifts. However, you are still eligible for all other incentives unless otherwise stated. 80% acceptance rate and 90% completion rate are required for shift incentives.
  • Ensure that the eligible service type toggles are turned on during the shift timing.
  • Ensure that you have updated your app to the latest version on both Android and iOS to enjoy this trial feature when it’s available to you.

As part of our efforts to continually refine and optimize this feature, we'll be testing different shift timings and locations to ensure the best possible experience for our driver-partners. This trial will be rolled out gradually to various cohorts to allow us to fine-tune every aspect and address any potential challenges. 


FAQs

Q: Will trips completed on shifts contribute to Monthly Loyalty Rewards tabulation?

A: Yes, all trips completed on shifts will count towards your Monthly Loyalty Rewards tabulation.

 

Q: Will I be eligible for PM Peak Hour Incentives?

A: No, while on shifts, you are not eligible for PM Peak Hour Incentives. However, you are still eligible for all other incentives unless otherwise stated.

 

Q: Who will be selected to participate in the Shift Booking Trial?

A: As we are still in the trial phase, only selected drivers are invited to participate to help us test and fine-tune the feature before it is released.

 

Q: What happens if my customer changes their destination to a location outside of the shift region?

A: If a customer you picked up while on shifts changes their destination to somewhere outside the shift region, please complete the trip as usual and return to the shift region to continue receiving trips for the remainder of your shift.

 

Q: Will I receive trips outside of the shift region?

A: If you have successfully registered for a shift, you need to stay in the shift region during the shift duration to receive bookings. Please refrain from leaving the shift region as you will not receive any orders outside of the shift region during the shift duration.

 

Q: Can I cancel my shift?

A: You can opt-out of a shift up to 1 hour before it starts. Once it has commenced, you will not be able to opt-out.

Please ensure that you only register for shifts that you can commit to. Drivers who sign up for shifts without the intention of driving will be penalized.
