Gojek recommends: Things to do in October 2025
06 Oct 2025

October’s a packed month for Singapore, filled with everything from light-up events for Deepavali and Mid-Autumn Festival to shadowy, spooky Halloween haunts. We’ve combed through the events to bring you the best of ‘em – and as always, you can call a Gojek to get you there!

Deepavali Festival Village

When: Until 19 October

Where: Serangoon Road

Campbell Lane is where it’s at this Deepavali. The Festival Village plays host to merchants selling everything you’d need for your celebration. Here’s where to get sarees, moreish bites, and all the colorful decorations and crafts you’d want. There’d also be various cultural performances – follow this account for updates.

Lights by the Lake

When: until 12 October

Where: Jurong Lake Gardens

A light-up for the westies? Yes, please! This Mid-Autumn Festival brings forth sparkly illuminations inspired by legends from Journey to the West, along with secondary displays at Chinese and Japanese Gardens. You can also collect exclusive Jurong Lake Gardens pins, and enjoy performances by artists from ART:DIS

3.Mondo@2x.png

Mondo

Where: 92 Amoy Street

A new gelato joint has just hit the city. This one opens until late on Fridays and Saturdays – making it especially perfect for weekend date nights, especially with its sleek leather seats and moody lighting. Classic flavors to look out for include Sicilian pistachio, but the menu also includes bold experimental ones like blue cheese with candied pear, and lighter sweets from their sorbet line.

Find out how paper offerings are made

Where: Macpherson

You’ve seen the Chinese paper offerings accompanying Taoist funerals under HDB blocks across the island. Hey Lad Tour brings you to one of the few shops still producing these effigies, expertly transforming pieces of bamboo sticks and paper into offerings for ancestors in the afterlife. Pro-tip: this tour is also covered with the SG Culture Pass!

5.Haw Ror Villa 4@2x.png

Haw Ror Villa 4

When: Until 1 November

Where: Haw Par Villa

Haw Par Villa’s very own Hell’s Museum turns 4 this Halloween season. The celebration includes 3 scare zones: a spooky Asian haunted house, a spooky guided tour, and puzzle hunt that brings you through the 10 courts of hell. If you’ve still got SG Culture Pass credits, this is the one event to spend it on.
