GoTaxi is here!

Your Gojek experience is about to get better – because GoTaxi is here! From today, 11 May 2021,  access to GoTaxi will gradually be rolled out to all customers on Gojek. In time, you’ll be able to use the app to book the ever-familiar, good ‘ol taxi ride to get you to places.


We’re saying hello to more drivers and more cars on our platform, which means more rides for you, especially when you need it


You’re familiar with GoCar, the service that brings you from A–B, fuss free. GoTaxi is just as easy to book, but here’s how it differs:


  • Great choice for families

Going out with the fam? Travel easy with kids on regulated taxi cabs.


  • Metered pricing 

Unlike GoCar, your fare follows the meter as set by the different taxi companies + an additional S$0.70 in platform fee. 


  • Standard boot size 

All taxis are equipped with enough space to hold up to 2 pieces of luggage 27–29 inches long each, or a wheelchair when folded and closed.


Note: GoTaxi drivers can also drive with GoCar. If you’re booking via GoCar, you may also get a ride in a taxi cab, although this is not guaranteed.

2. Compare prices and pick GoTaxi

3. Choose your method of payment

4. Tap on Order GoTaxi and you’re good to go!

FAQs

Can I use GoTaxi for a trip with many stops?

Because the multi-destination function is not available with GoTaxi, you’ll have to ask your driver. If they say yes, your updated fares will follow the meter.


I made a mistake. Can I change my destination?

Unfortunately, because the edit destination function is not available with GoTaxi, you’ll have to ask your driver personally. If they say yes, your updated fares will follow the meter.


Are GoTaxi rides covered with insurance?

Yes. All drivers and passengers on GoTaxi and GoCar are protected with free accident coverage powered by Marsh and underwritten by AIG. For more information, click here.
