Here at Gojek, your safety and security remains our top priority. Sometimes the unexpected happens – and if they do, we want you to have peace of mind, knowing you’re well protected when on the road. 

As such, we’ve partnered up with Etiqa to provide free accident coverage that covers you for every trip you take with Gojek. 

 

What benefits will I get?

If you get into an accident during a GoCar trip and sustain an injury that requires medical treatment, Etiqa will reimburse necessary and reasonable medical expenses up to S$1,000 per accident (covering both outpatient and inpatient treatments combined), subject to policy terms and exclusions.

This coverage applies during your GoCar ride and for injuries arising from the same accident up to 24 hours after the trip has ended.

You may receive up to S$15,000 for accidental death and up to S$15,000 for permanent disablement if you get into an accident whilst on a GoCar trip that results in those conditions, as defined in the policy.

The actual payout for permanent disablement depends on the type and severity of injury. It will follow Etiqa's scale of compensation (i.e. different percentages apply for loss of limb, sight, or hearing).

A customer who has booked and rode in a GoCar ride with a Gojek account, via the Gojek app

  • Fellow passengers (within the seat capacity)
  • Your Gojek driver-partner

Anyone else riding along with you, regardless of whether they have a Gojek account

How do I opt in for the free accident coverage?

You don’t have to opt in at all – as long as you book and complete an eligible GoCar trip with Gojek, you're automatically protected under the Group Personal Accident (GPA) policy, subject to the policy terms and exclusions.

 

How do I make a claim?

  1. Download and fill in this form.
  2. Prepare the following bits of information and proof/documentation:
  • GoCar order number and details (indicating booking ID, time/date of pick-up and drop-off, driver and passenger names)
  • Vehicle details of the car(s) involved in the accident, including licence plate number(s)
  • Police report of accident if applicable (which must be lodged within 24 hours of the incident)
  • Medical report(s) certifying any injury/ies sustained at time of accident
  • Medical bills and receipts
  • NRIC of claimant
  • Death certificate and post-mortem report (if necessary and/or applicable)
  • Bank statement reflecting claimant's name, bank name, and account number for claim settlement by bank transfer

Complete and email the claim form along with other claim documents to SGGojek.claims@etiqa.com.sg. You may also be asked to provide any other documentary evidence as requested. 
 

When do I make the claim?
Claims should be made no later than 30 days after the incident.
