Gojek recommends: Things to do in August 2025
04 Aug 2025

With National Day, NDP-themed deals, and more love for all things local coming soon, there’s an undeniable festive mood in the air. We’re getting in on the action with our recommendations this month. As usual, Gojek’s got your back when you wanna head out.

Singapore Night Festival

Where: Various locations across Bras Basah.Bugis precinct

When: 22 August – 6 September

The Singapore Night Festival’s 16th edition will see the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct come to life with mesmerizing projection-mapping light displays on iconic buildings; experiential programs; and food and retail offerings at the festival village. With the theme of Island Nights this year, the festival explores what it means to be island gyals within Singapore’s rich island heritage.

Bibliophiles, it’s finally time to celebrate. After the closing of several bookstores across the island, here’s a new one to browse ‘thru. Besides books from local and international authors, this Kinokuniya branch also carries exclusive stationery and merch!

Waterbomb Singapore

Where: Siloso Beach, Sentosa

When: 30 & 31 August

The second edition of this South Korean music festival in Singapore promises to keep you cool with giant water cannons – although artists like 2NE1 and SHINee’s Taemin and Minho will bring the heat as they set the stage on fire.

The Noob Coffee

Where: 259 Boon Lay Drive

This home-based cafe opened by a former Les Amis chef has gotten some well-deserved publicity – so it’s not that hidden, but it’s still a definite gem in the west. Try their classic coffees, or get a taste of their range of unique drinks like the strawberry yogurt matcha or pandan latte.

The Meowgical Scoop

Where: 264 Tampines Street 21, #01-112

Easties, don’t think we’ve forgotten about you! In the Tampines heartlands lies a new cat-themed cafe in the area dishing up waffles and interesting gelato flavours. We’ve got our eyes on the oolong osmanthus and milo dinosaur. They’re also pet-friendly, so look out for the neighborhood fur babies while you enjoy some pawsitive vibes.
