Enhanced COVID-19 measures: How we’re helping our driver-partners

On 14 May, the Government announced an enhanced set of measures to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. With the potential reduction in demand for ride-hailing, we understand that many of you are concerned about the impact on your earnings. 

 

Rest assured that we remain committed to getting through these challenging times with you. 

 

Here’s how we’re helping our driver-partners safeguard their livelihoods:


 

At the same time, we’re also boosting demand by giving all Gojek users free rides to and from any MOH-approved vaccination center from now until 31 August 2021. 

 

⚠️ NOTE: From 21 June 1AM, we will be making long-term improvements for better earnings per trip, which will replace the current incentives scheme. The daily points scheme will run until 20 June, while the monthly loyalty bonus will continue until 30 June.

Helping you to maintain your earnings


1. Reduced points requirement for more service fee rebates (20 May - 20 June)

The reduced points requirement has been extended until 21 June, 1AM.


From 20 May 1AM - 21 Jun 1AM, we’ve reduced the points requirement for your daily service fee rebates to make it easier for you to bring home all earnings.

  • Complete just one trip to drive with an effective service fee of only 14% 
  • NEW: Get 50% service fee rebates with 15 points per day (usual: 20 points).
  • NEW: Bring home all your earnings with 50 points per day (usual: 80 points).

With the reduced points requirement, we expect that the number of driver-partners who can receive 100% service fee rebates will more than double during this period.

2. Reduced trips requirement for monthly loyalty incentives (1 May - 30 June)

We will also be reducing the trip requirements to qualify for the monthly loyalty incentives for May and June, so that all Premium (GoFleet only), Pro, and Elite GoalBetter tier driver-partners can continue to receive the monthly loyalty bonus despite the lower demand for trips.

 

NOTE: 80% average monthly performance requirement applies.

3. Reduced trips requirement for additional fuel rebates with GoalBetter (17 May - 13 June)

 


🟢 Additional weekly fuel rebates

 

As part of the GoalBetter driver benefits program, you also receive additional fuel rebates from Gojek when you use the Gojek Esso Fuel Card and meet the weekly trip requirements. From 17 May to 13 June 2021, the weekly trips requirement will be reduced to help you reduce your fuel costs during this period:

  • Classic: At least 20 30 trips, to get +2% fuel rebates
  • Premium: At least 35 50 trips, to get +4% fuel rebates
  • Pro: At least 70 100 trips, to get +7% fuel rebates
  • Elite: At least 90 130 trips, to get +10% fuel rebates

Weekly rebates will be paid out within 14 working days after the end of each month.

 

🟢 Higher 23% upfront discount on fuel

 

To further reduce your fuel costs, from 27 May to 4 June, 5PM, you will receive a higher upfront discount of 23% (instead of the usual 21%) on fuel at any Esso station islandwide when you use your Gojek Esso Fuel Card.

4. Reduced qualification criteria for the upcoming GoalBetter cycle (1 July - 30 September)

 

In appreciation of your loyalty with Gojek, we will be revising the qualification criteria for the upcoming GoalBetter cycle (1 July - 30 September 2021) to the following: 

  • Classic: No requirement (unchanged)
  • Premium: 650 750 trips
  • Pro: 1,200 1,400 trips
  • Elite: 1,550 1,800 trips

With the reduction in trips required across all GoalBetter tiers for the upcoming GoalBetter cycle, we hope that this will make it easier for you to retain your tier and continue enjoying benefits such as fuel discounts of up to 33.4%, as well as free health benefits for you and your family.

Protecting your earnings if you’ve been quarantined or diagnosed with COVID-19


5. Earnings protection if you are diagnosed with COVID-19 or issued with a Quarantine Order (QO)

 

Gojek will provide you with protection and earnings stability in the following ways:

 

🟢 GoalBetter tier protection when you are unable to drive so that you can focus on recovering

 

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 or are issued a QO, your GoalBetter tier qualification criteria for the next program period will be prorated accordingly.

 

Example: 

If you are currently a Premium driver and have been issued with a QO for 10 days, instead of the usual trip accumulation period of 91 days, your trip accumulation period will be 81 days (91 - 10 QO days). 

 

Hence, you will only need 667 trips (i.e. 750 / 91 * 81) instead of 750 trips to requalify as a Premium driver for the next GoalBetter cycle from 1 July - 30 September 2021. 

 

🟢 Prolonged medical leave insurance coverage for driver-partners covered under the Freelancer Earnings Protection program 

 

As part of GoalBetter, driver-partners who are covered under the Freelancer Earnings Protection (FLEP) program will be covered under prolonged medical leave insurance in the event that you are diagnosed with COVID-19, served with a QO or have to take medical leave. 

 

Get vaccinated

We highly encourage our driver-partners to receive the COVID-19 vaccine when eligible to stay safe as our frontline heroes. In the unlikely event of any COVID-19 vaccine side effects-related hospitalizations, this is also covered under the FLEP scheme. More info: gjk.sg/flep-vaccine

 

Who is eligible for the FLEP program?

  • Pro and Elite driver-partners are automatically covered 
  • For a limited time until 10 June, Classic and Premium driver-partners can get 10% off their 1st month of FLEP when they sign up with this link: gjk.sg/flep

🟢 Waiver of vehicle rental for GoFleet driver-partners who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or issued with a QO

 

Your vehicle rental will be waived for the duration by the GoFleet partner you are renting from if you are diagnosed with COVID-19 or are issued a QO.

To help you maintain a safe ride environment, you may drop by GoHub during regular operating hours to collect a free care package with a hand sanitizer and disposable masks if you require it, while stocks last.


6. Free car sanitization for all Gojek driver-partners

 

To support you in your efforts to stay safe, all Gojek driver-partners are eligible for a free car sanitization (by appointment only), courtesy of our participating GoFleet partners.

How to redeem?

  1. Call any of our GoFleet partners above. You will be guided on making an appointment with them for your free car sanitization.
  2. Flash your GoPartner driver app for verification at your appointment.

 

The free car sanitization is by appointment only, and available on a first-come-first-served basis due to daily capacity limits. No walk-ins allowed.


7. Free car wash

 

To thank you for supporting our frontline healthcare workers and keeping the nation moving, the top 600 Gojek driver-partners based on trips accumulated from 1 - 23 May 2021 will be able to receive a free car wash at Esso stations, courtesy of ExxonMobil. 

 

More details on the free car wash redemption will be sent to these driver-partners by early June.

FAQs


Daily service fee rebates

Q: Are there any requirements to qualify for the service fee rebates?

A: Yes, an 80% daily performance is still required. 

 

Q: When will I receive the service fee rebates?

A: The 20% service fee will be applied upfront. Payouts will be made to your Earnings Wallet by 2AM on the following night. Look out for this payout on your Earnings Screen on the same day that you are eligible for the bonus.

 

Q: Are there any changes to the criteria for earning points?

A: No, the criteria for earning points remains the same, please refer to gjk.sg/incentives for more details. 

 

Q: When will the new reduced points requirement be valid for?

A: The reduced points requirement will be applicable for trips starting from 20 May, 1AM to 14 Jun, 1AM. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our measures where necessary. 

 

Q: I was informed of a different incentive scheme applicable until 30 May 2021, does that mean that I will also be eligible for the revised service fee rebates?

A: If you are currently receiving the new driver incentives, there are no changes to your current eligibility and incentive scheme from now until 30 May 2021. 

 

From 31 May to 13 June, you will be eligible for the service fee rebate with the reduced targets as per above.

 

Monthly loyalty bonus

 

Q: Is there a performance requirement for the monthly loyalty bonus?

A: For the monthly loyalty bonus, you will need to meet a monthly performance requirement of 80%. This means that for the entire calendar month, you should have completed at least 80% of the total orders received, in order to qualify for the monthly performance requirement.

 

Q: What is the start and end period of the monthly loyalty bonus?

A: The monthly loyalty bonus period starts at 1AM on the 1st day of each month and ends at 12:59AM on the 1st day of the following month.

 

Q: When will I receive the service fee rebates?

A: You will get the loyalty bonus paid out to your Earnings Wallet on the first Tuesday of the following month.

 

Q: When will the new reduced monthly trips requirement be valid for?

A: The reduced points requirement will be applicable for trips starting from 1 May, 1AM to 1 July, 1AM. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our measures where necessary. 

 

Q: I was informed of a different incentive scheme applicable until 30 May 2021, does that mean that I will also be eligible for the monthly loyalty bonus?

Q: I am diagnosed with COVID-19 and/or have been issued a QO. How do I protect my GoalBetter tier?

A: If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 or are issued a QO, your GoalBetter tier qualification criteria for the next program period will be prorated accordingly. 

 

Please let us know via in-app (Help > COVID-19 advisory > I am diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been issued a QO) with a photo of your QO/SHN/MC and our team will reach out to you shortly.

 

Q: How can I purchase the FLEP policy?

A: Driver-partners from the Pro and Elite GoalBetter tiers do not have to pay anything to enjoy this coverage – premiums will be fully paid for by Gojek. 

 

Driver-partners from Classic and Premium GoalBetter tiers will be able to purchase this policy at highly subsidized rates. To purchase, please visit gjk.sg/flep, click on “Get a Quote Now” and select “Gojek FLEP”.  

 

Q: I am under FLEP and I am diagnosed with COVID-19 and/or have been issued a QO. How do I make a claim?
