Dear driver-partners,


As 2023 draws to a close, I want to reflect on our collective accomplishments this year and express gratitude for your dedication and support. We celebrated our 5th birthday in November, a feat that could not have been possible without you.

Over the past 5 years, we have completed millions of rides across the island – demonstrating the integral role we play in Singapore’s public transport system. We only intend to take this number higher as we strengthen and grow our presence in Singapore.


Protecting your livelihoods

Taking care of our driver-partners has always been a top-of-mind objective for us at Gojek. We are constantly working to provide you with better earnings stability and experience, so that you can focus on things that truly matter. 


With the reduction of service fees from 15% to only 10% in November, our driver-partners now get to take home a bigger share of their earnings on every trip. Top driver-partners continue to take home all earnings with our Monthly Loyalty Rewards.

 

We have also extended the Driver Fee till 30 Jun 2024 to help boost your take home earnings. This fee of $0.50/$0.80 is paid for by customers and 100% of it goes to you – with no service fees applied. 


In an ongoing effort for strategic growth, we have established two pivotal partnerships this year with yuu and Deliveroo. Both of these collaborations go a long way to increase customer engagement and demand for our services – meaning more rides and earnings for you.


We have also signed on many large companies to provide rides for their employees under our GoCorp service. This also increases the customer demand for Gojek rides.


On top of that, we have introduced attractive promo codes for customers such as GOJEK555, 925, and GOAIRPORT to incentivize new customers and encourage repeat usage among our customer base.


Product improvements to enhance your experience

Apart from seeking ways to improve your earnings in a sustainable manner, we’ve also been working to improve your experience with the following initiatives.


New service types

In January, we launched GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids, a new service type for driver-partners to enjoy higher fares and earn an extra $2 on every trip. Read more here.


Fare enhancements
To ensure that you are fairly compensated for your time, we made some adjustments to enhance the trip start and minimum fares for GoCar XL, GoCar Premium, and GoCar XL Kids.

Minimum fare increase 

  1. $0.90 for GoCar XL and XL Kids
  2.  $1.20 for GoCar Premium

Trip start fare increase

  1. $0.30 for GoCar XL and XL Kids
  2. $0.45 (6AM - 11:59PM) & $6.45 (12AM - 5:59AM) for GoCar Premium

New features

In March, we rolled out an Automated ERP feature that automatically populates an estimated ERP amount at the end of trips to provide you with a smoother and more convenient experience. 


In the same month, we also introduced a Tipping feature to allow customers to tip driver-partners during and after their trip - giving you the opportunity to boost your earnings on top of fares and incentives.


In our commitment to foster a culture of safety and wellbeing for our driver-partners, we launched a Rest Reminder feature in Oct. This automated reminder is triggered after 12 hours of consecutive driving, and serves as a gentle prompt for you to take a break and get sufficient rest before driving again.


This month, we also introduced a Vehicle Color feature to let customers know the color of their designated vehicle, enabling them to identify their ride faster to ensure a smoother pickup experience for all.


Family-focused driver events 

Throughout the year, we’ve held numerous driver engagement events to provide you with the opportunity to take a break and spend time with your loved ones and bond with your fellow drivers.


Chinese New Year celebrations


To celebrate the Chinese New Year, we invited top Elite driver-partners for a buffet lunch to appreciate them for all their hard work.

GoalBetter’s 4th anniversary 

To celebrate GoalBetter turning 4, we had a buffet lunch with driver-partners and played fun games. Some driver-partners even walked away with up to $300 in fuel vouchers, and many others had the  opportunity to learn more about GoalBetter benefits.


School holiday family fun



During the June school holidays, we held our first ever Driver Family Week. Our driver-partners spent the day at the movies with their loved ones, and our Driver Heroes volunteered to distribute groceries to low-income families on the weekend. For the September school holidays, we even had a carnival with food and games for all!


Gojek’s 5th anniversary



Celebrating 5 years of safe rides, our driver-partners and their loved ones enjoyed a day of fun with safety and health-themed activities. SMS Amy Khor was invited to the event, with a Safety Booklet launched to equip drivers with safety tips on the road. Read here: English & Chinese


Looking ahead for 2024

As we look back on the significant milestones achieved in 2023, I want to thank you for being part of our journey over the past 5 years. We wouldn’t be here without you, our valued driver-partners, and my team and I look forward to celebrating many more years and milestones together in the future.
