Jakarta, October 21 2019 - Nadiem was summoned to the Palace by President Joko Widodo today to accept an appointment as a member of the new cabinet. We are very proud that our founder will play such a significant role in moving Indonesia onto the global stage. It is unprecedented for a passionate local founder’s vision to be recognised as a model that can be up-scaled to help the development of an entire country.

Nadiem’s departure will see Andre Soelistyo, Gojek Group President and Kevin Aluwi, Gojek co-founder, share responsibility for leading the company through its next stage of growth as co-CEOs. Andre and Kevin have already been leading the day-to-day business of the organization for some time.

We have planned for this possibility and there will be no disruption to our business. We will make an announcement on what this news means for Gojek within the next few days.

We respect the process set out by the President and will not make a further comment until there is an official announcement from the Palace.

Jakarta, 21 Oktober 2019 - Hari ini Nadiem dipanggil Presiden Joko Widodo untuk hadir di Istana Negara untuk menjadi bagian dari kabinet baru. Kami sangat bangga karena founder Gojek akan turut membawa Indonesia maju ke panggung dunia. Hal ini belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya, dimana visi seorang pendiri startup lokal mendapat pengakuan dan dijadikan contoh untuk pembangunan bangsa.

Ke depan, Gojek akan menghadirkan pemimpin baru. Andre Soelistyo, Presiden Gojek Grup dan Kevin Aluwi, co-founder Gojek akan berbagi tanggung jawab untuk menjalankan perusahaan sebagai co-CEO, dengan fokus membawa perusahaan ke tahap selanjutnya. Kevin dan Andre telah memimpin pengembangan dan operasional perusahaan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini.
