How does this work?
Example 1
💡What this means: Mr Lim enjoyed a quicker tier qualification to the Elite tier while being tier protected for 3 months in the Pro tier
Based on the current 3-month cycle qualification, Mr Lim would have needed to wait till 1 Apr to enjoy a tier upgrade to Elite. However, the new tier progression is based on the past 3 months of driving (i.e Nov-Jan), hence Mr Lim qualified for the Elite tier by a month earlier!
Example 2
💡What this means: Mr Ong enjoyed his Elite benefits for 3 months, and subsequently an earlier tier qualification instead of the usual fixed quarterly cycle
Although he did not requalify as an Elite tier driver on 1 Apr, by completing more trips in the same month, he managed to qualify for the Elite tier again on 1 May just a month later (based on trips from Feb-Apr), securing his Elite tier membership for the next 3 months.
From 1 Feb 2023
In Jun 2021, we reduced service fees by half to 10% for 18 months (till end 2022) to help drivers remain resilient amid and beyond the pandemic.
Despite the challenging macroeconomic environment, we have taken the decision not to restore service fees in full from 2023, taking into account your feedback. Instead, we will implement 15% service fees (rather than 20%) that will take effect from 1 Feb 2023 for at least 12 months.
💡Pro-tip: To enjoy lower service fees and bring home more earnings, aim for a higher GoalBetter tier - Elite GoFleet driver-partners drive with 0% service fees.
Enjoy a $3 flat fee for far pick-ups above 3km to better reward you for your extra efforts, paid out immediately upon completing the trip.

🔹 Only GoCar, GoCar Premium, and GoCar XL trips are eligible for the $3 flat fee for far pick-ups.

The $3 far pick-up incentive will be reflected in your Earnings Wallet together with the trip fares.
In addition, you should also be able to see this under the Incentives section of your weekly earnings statement.

Q: How will these changes impact my earnings?
A: We expect your earnings to remain sustainable on our platform given that fares have improved by 30% since Jan 2022 - giving you more earnings without having to rely on incentives. This is on top of new and upgraded initiatives to better support you, such as enhanced Monthly Loyalty Rewards that enable you to drive with as low as 0% service fees, quicker GoalBetter tier qualification to unlock better benefits, refreshed daily incentives, and more.
Q: When will these initiatives take effect?
A: All initiatives take effect from 1 Feb 2023 at 12AM - Enhanced Monthly Loyalty Rewards, Daily Incentives, quicker GoalBetter tier qualifications, and 15% service fees (for at least 12 months).
The Driver Fee will be further extended from 1 Jan 2023 till 30 Jun 2023.
Q: Will the GST hike from Jan 2023 onwards impact service fees?
A: Not to worry - service fees remain inclusive of GST. We will at present be absorbing the 1% in GST for driver-partners.
Q: Are the $3 far pickup incentives still be available?
A: Yes. Driver-partners on GoCar trips will continue to receive immediate payouts of $3 as long as the pickup distance is more than 3km and the order is completed. The incentive is not subject to service fees.
Q: Are there changes to the Waiting Fee and Edit Destination Fee?
A: Only for GoCar Premium - we’ve increased the Waiting Fee to $5/5min (max $13) and increased the Edit Destination Fee to $5, effective 1 Feb 2023. Both fees will automatically be added to your total earnings on top of trip fares. There is no change to the payout amount for GoCar trips.
Service Fees
Q: Does the 15% service fee apply to all charges?
A: The 15% service fee applies to the gross trip fare, Edit Destination Fee, Multi-destination Fee, and Fees from GoCar Kids trips.
The service fee excludes ERP, Platform Fee, Waiting Fee, Cancellation Fee and Far Pickup Incentives.
Q: What are the service fees for GoTaxi trips?
A: The service fee for GoTaxi trips remains unchanged at $0.60.
Monthly Loyalty Rewards
Q: Who is eligible for the enhanced Monthly Loyalty Rewards?
A: From 1 Feb 2023, Classic and Premium non-GoFleet driver-partners will also get to enjoy the Monthly Loyalty Rewards, alongside existing tiers who will continue to be eligible.
Your GoalBetter tier will now be refreshed on a 3-month rolling basis (based on past 3 months of driving, eg. Dec-Feb, regardless of your active status on the platform) instead of fixed quarterly cycles.
Q: What is the start and end period of the trips requirement for the Monthly Loyalty Rewards?
A: Trips from the 1st day of the month, 12AM, to the last day of the month, 11:59PM, will be taken into consideration to determine your Monthly Loyalty Rewards.
Q: How will the enhanced Monthly Loyalty Rewards work? When will I receive the payouts?
A: You will continue to receive your Monthly Loyalty Rewards via service fee rebates, paid out monthly to your Earnings Wallet on the 1st of the following month at 1AM.
Q: Is there a requirement for the enhanced Monthly Loyalty Rewards?
A: For the Monthly Loyalty Rewards, you will need to meet an average monthly performance requirement of 80% and achieve at least 500 monthly trips.
Q: How are the enhanced Monthly Loyalty Rewards calculated?
A: The monthly performance requirement is 80%. This means that for the entire calendar month, you should have completed at least 80% of the total orders received, in order to qualify for the monthly performance requirement.
Your performance is calculated as: total trips completed / (total trips received - total passenger-cancelled trips).
Q: How does being a GoFleet driver-partner contribute to the Monthly Loyalty Rewards?
A: Being a GoFleet driver-partner gives you lower service fees when you drive! Elite GoFleet drivers drive with as low as 0% service fees and take home all their earnings every month. For more examples on the various scenarios of being a GoFleet driver-partner, see below:
Example 1: Mr Lim is an approved GoFleet driver-partner on 15 Jun and STAYS throughout the month of Jun (Eligible for GoFleet-exclusive incentives in Jun)
If Mr Lim is approved as a GoFleet driver-partner on 15 Jun, he will receive GoFleet-exclusive incentives for every trip in June, including 1-14 Jun, on the first Tuesday of Jul.
Example 2: Mr Lim is an approved GoFleet driver-partner on 15 Jun but LEAVES the program on 30 Jun (NOT eligible for GoFleet-exclusive incentives in Jun)
If Mr Lim is approved as a GoFleet driver-partner on 15 June but is no longer a GoFleet Driver-Partner on 30 Jun, he will not receive any GoFleet-exclusive incentives for every trip in Jun because he needs to remain as a GoFleet driver-partner on the last day of Jun to qualify.
Example 3: Mr Lim rents a car from GoFleet on 28 Mar but is not approved until Apr (NOT eligible for GoFleet-exclusive incentives in Mar)
Mr. Lim rents a car from a GoFleet Partner on Tuesday, 28 Mar 2023 and starts driving while pending approval to be enrolled into the GoFleet program. He only becomes approved by GoFleet the following Monday, 3 Apr 2023, and will not receive any GoFleet-exclusive incentives for every trip in Mar 2023 on 4 Apr 2023, which is the first Tuesday of Apr 2023. Similar to Example 2, this is because Mr Lim was not considered a GoFleet Driver-Partner on the last day of Mar 2023, hence not eligible for any GoFleet-exclusive incentives in that month.
Daily Incentives
Q: Will there be service fees on the daily bonus incentive payout?
A: No, there are no additional service fees on the payouts.
Q: Is there a performance requirement to qualify for the daily incentives?
A: Yes, you will need to meet the performance requirement of 80% during the incentive period in order to be eligible for the payout.
Far pick-up incentives
Q: Who pays for the far pick-up incentives?
A: The far pick-up incentives will be paid by Gojek to driver-partners. This incentive is separate from your trip fare, so please do not collect this amount from the customer.
Q: Is the far pick-up incentive service fee deductible?
A: No, this incentive is not subject to 15% service fees.
Q: How is the pick-up distance determined for this incentive?
A: The incentive will be calculated based on the pick-up routing distance determined by the Gojek GoPartner app.
For back-to-back orders, pick-up distance is calculated based on the driver’s location at the time of receiving the booking request.
You will only get the incentive if the pick up distance is above 3km and you have switched on auto-bid.
Q: When will I receive the far pick-up incentives?
A: You will be able to receive immediate payouts of the $3 far pick-up incentive upon completing the trip.
Q: Who is eligible for the far pick-up incentives?
A: All driver-partners who complete GoCar trips are automatically eligible as long as the pick-up distance is more than 3km and the order is completed. GoTaxi trips are not eligible for the far pick-up incentives. Driver-partners must switch on auto-bid to qualify for far pick-up incentives. Driver-partners on manual bid will not be eligible for far pick-up incentives.
Q: How would I know whether I’ve received the far pick-up incentives?
A: The far pick-up incentives will be reflected in your Gojek Earnings Wallet upon payment with the description ‘Far pick-up incentive’. In addition, you should also be able to see this under the Incentives section of your weekly earnings statement.
Driver Fee
Q: Which service types will the driver fees be applicable for?
A: The driver fee will be applied to all GoCar, GoCar Premium and GoCar XL rides, with the exception of GoTaxi, as fares are subject to the taxi’s meter.
Q: If customers edit their destination, will the driver fees be based on the initial estimated distance or actual distance traveled?
A: The new recalculated distance will be used to determine the driver fee.
Q: How will the driver fee be calculated for multi-destination trips?
A: If the customer adds a destination, the driver fee is determined by the total distance traveled.
Q: Are driver fees incrementally applied?
A: No. The driver fee is determined based on the final trip distance. For short trips less than 10km, a flat-fee of $0.50 will be applied. Long trips of 10km and above will be subject to a $0.80 flat-fee.
Q: Will the driver need to manually add the additional driver fees after the trip is completed?
A: No, it will automatically be added to the fare.
Q: How can I check / see how much was charged?
A: Drivers will be able to view the driver fee amount in their Payment Details screen after the trip is completed.
Q: Is the driver fee taxable?
A: Yes, driver fees will be treated as taxable income.
